They say no news is good news...at times. I would much rather know that I was doing something wrong than keep doing it the wrong way and have alot more to clean up later. It is never easy being the bad guy or the deliver of bad news, I do it almost on a daily basis and it never gets easier. Good luck and I'm sure you are a great teacher/leader.

Great post, I loved the part about when it seems that everything is going perfect in a day that can only mean that doom is around the corner. Sometimes I feel like that, especially at work, I will think to myself, "alright, everythings running smooth, something bad is about to happen". Lucas

Unfortunately, I get those "blank stares" you referred to in your first paragraph all the time! I know exactly how that feels. I work with special children and often times you do you best and it still doesn't get through. It's very frustrating, yet rewarding when the skill does sink in. I guess we have to take the good with the bad, and be grateful for the smallest accomplishment.

Hi Ken,

It seems to me that you are off to a good start. Why do I like your entry? Emotion! You have said something about yourself in this brief post that lets me get to know you.

Jump right in, the water's fine. I, too, am often a middle-of-the-night writer. There is something about the quiet, the darkness, and being alone that lends to creativity.
